Restricting access to business metrics
Use case
A SaaS application website is functioning well, and it’s time for the company to hire their first customer support staff. The manager of the site wishes to give the new staff flexibility to solve end user issues, at the same time ensuring that revenue and other business metrics are off-limits.
Implementation
With DjaoDjin, managers and contributors, by default, all have access to a business metrics page hosted by DjaoDjin. However, the manager of this SaaS site can override the default by creating a rule limiting access to the revenue metrics page to direct managers only.
(Note that DjaoDjin makes a distinction between direct managers and indirect managers, as our system may be implemented in a marketplace or other context where a 3rd party provider acts as manager. In such a case, that 3rd party provider has “manager” access, but not “direct manager” access.)
